Michael Nakache is a film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was born and raised in Paris, France and now lives in Los Angeles. After his graduation from ESEC (film school ranked among the best in France and Europe), he worked on several productions before he wrote, produced, and directed his first short film, 'Miscalculation and Consequences' (Miscalculation and Consequences (2003)). Soon after, he co-wrote, co-produced, and directed Convivium (2005), starring some of the finest French actors, such as Mélanie Thierry (winner of Césars Award - French Academy Awards) and Grégory Fitoussi (male lead in the internationally acclaimed series, Spiral (2005)). This 28-minute short film was celebrated at a number of prestigious film festivals, including Palm Springs Short Film Festival, Cleveland International Film Festival, Pierre Cardin Short Film Festival (Audience Award), Krakow Film Festival, and Rochester International Film Festival to name a few. It also aired on major TV networks and was chosen to represent France at the Ciné Première Film Festival. More recently, Michael co-wrote, co-produced, and directed The Passenger (2015) and Transference (2015), two short films publicly and critically acclaimed in major festivals and aired on various TV networks, including HBO Europe for Transference (2015). He has a slate of three feature films and four others in development. Authentic and passionate, Michael uses his very prolific imagination to bring fresh entertainment to the audience while sharing his personal vision of the world.
