Shelby D. Henderson

Producer, casting director, actor, and writer Shelby D. Henderson, is a native South Carolinian. She began acting in theatre at the age of 18; prior to that, she performed on stage in smaller local productions from the time she was 6 years old. She also began singing at a very early age, and started performing as a professional vocalist while attending college as a voice major. She continued to pursue her love of acting in theatre performing in several principal roles in popular musicals, comedies, and dramas. Her theatre credits also include producer, technical producer, casting director, stage manager, costume designer, and more. Later, she transitioned to independent film acting which led current credits as a producer and casting director. Among the many independent projects she has worked with, Shelby is noted for her acting role as Mae in the multiple award-winning dramatic short, When They Could Fly," directed by Piotr Kajstura and written by Stephen P. Lindsey. Shelby D. Henderson is also owner of Above The Line Talent Productions and The Actor In Me Studio in Greenville, South Carolina where she develops new faces for the film, television, and modeling industry.
