Ken Weiner, born in Massachusettes, was a gifted athlete playing 6 years of pro baseball in the Pacific Coast League and many years of Pro level fast-pitch softball. Ken was an escort/bodyguard for 17 years in Los Angeles, New York and abroad. He served with the US Army for 3 years and was awarded the Purple Heart and several Medals for Valor for action in Viet Nam. Ken has performed as guitarist for several successful bands including The Blue Spirit Band (1970s and reformed in the 1990s, The Blue Law Band (1999) and most recently the Slouch in the Couch Children's Corner Band. Ken has worked with Eric Burden, Robben Ford, George Smith, Big Joe Turner, Joe Huston, Pee Wee Crayton, Eddie 'Cleanhead' Vinson, 'T-Bone' Walker, Sugie Otis, Carlos Santana, Sting, Bon Jovi, Joshua Bell, Marc-Andre Hamelin, Brad Paisley, and many many more. He has also coached Basketball, Little League and football as well as donated time to youth groups and schools.
