Prince Bagdasarian is a Los Angeles based filmmaker, writer-director of the award winning action crime features, Abducted (2018) and Abstraction (2013), and the co-producer of the acclaimed sci-fi film, 5th Passenger (2017). All of Bagdasarian's films have garnered dozens of award nominations and wins at various festivals, and have secured worldwide distribution. For over a decade, Bagdasarian has also operated his own production company and worked extensively in production and post, on over a hundred feature films, such as Sylvester Stallone's Rambo (2008) and Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009). Bagdasarian grew up in and around Hollywood. Before getting into filmmaking, he was a magician / illusionist. He began performing magic at a tender age of 10. Within two years, he started in larger stage illusions with the help of his sister, Rose Bagdasarian and had numerous appearances as a special guest in a variety of television programs, magazines, and newspapers, including "Genii", the magic industry's professional magazine. Years later, after graduating film school, Bagdasarian formed his independent production company, PIB Productions, in 2001, to produce his first film, "Desperate Decisions". Later, three other films were produced that became official selections and award winners at film festivals. In 2013, Bagdasarian completed his first feature film, Abstraction (2013), a crime drama revolving around the heist of a half a million dollar painting. The film starred Eric Roberts, Ken Davitian, among others, and garnered over a dozen nominations/wins at festival. It was acquired for worldwide distribution in 2015. In 2018, Bagdasarian followed that up with his second directorial action-packed crime feature, Abducted (2018), starring the likes of Michael Urie and Scout Taylor-Compton. The film received standing ovations at every showing and garnered various awards at festivals before being acquired exclusively by Showtime Networks in 2020. Bagdasarian has directed dozens of hit music videos for decades for the artists such as Snoop Dogg, O.T. Genasis, and Soulja Boy. He has numerous directorial feature films upcoming.
