Andrew T. Horng is an acclaimed filmmaker and one of the top Asian-American director, writer, and producer prospects in Los Angeles. He is also the founder of Total RunTime, winner of 26 festival awards since 2019. Born in Chicago and raised in the suburbs, Horng's interest in filmmaking began at age 9. Throughout his school years, he directed films before eventually graduating with a degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. There, he led various projects, including the video recording of Roger Ebert's annual film festival, Ebertfest. Once in Los Angeles, Horng found work in television, most notably on Malcolm in the Middle (2000), Prison Break (2005), Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008), House (2004), Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000), and Eastbound & Down (2009). In 2018, on his first attempt in a timed competition, the film Horng wrote placed 1st out of 58 films, landing him in Variety Magazine. Out of the 7 he would compete in, all 7 resulted in top-tier finalist rankings, including one with over 1700+ international entries. On the side, Horng has spoken on the popular "Film Courage" YouTube channel. He also rents out his 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 to productions and cinephiles from across the globe.
