She had returned from Israel to the U.S. for her third visit, after having legal issues with Immigration. Tamar's parents are originally from Morocco and they moved to Israel before having children. Tamar was raised in this hard working, "blue collar" family, the second daughter of 7 children. Her grandfather was a hazan and she was raised in a strict religious tradition with kosher rules. She worked hard cleaning the household and taking care of the younger siblings everyday with her sister. Her most memorable childhood experience is climbing ancient, 2000 year old olive trees and fig trees to pick the fresh fruits. Tamar grew up on American culture, especially 1980s pop music, everything from to Cyndi Lauper to Prince to Steeley Dan. Her favorite TV shows were: Little House on the Prairie and MacGyver. She has a big heart and is compassionate for animals in need or suffering. She is affiliated with P.E.T.A.. She enjoys farm life and worked on a kibbutz, having attended a college of agriculture. Tamar also has teaching skills with a degree in drama and performing arts. She has periodically taught grade school children, most recently in Atlanta, Georgia and Orange, New Jersey. According to Israeli conscription, she served in the military during the early 1990s, being promoted to unit commander with several dozen men under her command. She has traveled internationally and speaks several languages, including Hebrew, Arabic, English, and some French. Tamar keeps a busy schedule, yet she maintains a complete physical regimen. She is health conscious and athletic, combining conventional exercise with yoga, meditation, and Pilates. She's an endurance runner and has completed several marathons. On her birthday in 2003, she had a life-changing spiritual experience, which confirmed the course of her life. Tamar immigrated to the U.S. with a clear purpose - to work in television. She has collaborated on projects with Joe Dinki, Richard Breitfeller and Ian Couch. She has modeled for photographers and sculptors, as well as painters. In 2004, Tamar got married to Tasciotti, a writer/actor/director, also in the movie industry. Their common interests include: movies, music, screen-writing, acting, the arts, organic gardening, and Nature. Tamar is gave birth to her first child in August 2006, yet she continued work on her television project, a book, and numerous films produced by Tasciotti. Her main belief is that we can make this world a better place through conscious effort and balance of mind, body, and spirit.
