Originally from Bowling Green, Kentucky, Jennifer B. Hazel developed an early love for the entertainment industry, making her stage debut at the age of three in a Christmas Pageant. Also an early love is music; she has been taking music lessons since childhood, and loves to sing and play piano. Her skill is of such a quality that she was accepted to the Julliard School to study piano and voice. By the time she graduated high school, however, her love for the written word was the greater. She took a BA in 1997 in English and Theatre (with minors in French and Philosophy), and was awarded an MA in Elizabethan Drama and Literature in 1999, graduating first in her class, taking the Most Outstanding Student honor. She has studied at Centre College, Cambridge University, and Western Kentucky University. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, serving as the Treasurer and Philanthropy Chair of the Panhellenic Society and was an Irene Ryan Theatre Scholarship Nominee for her role as Constance Neville in She Stoops to Conquer. She spent three years studying abroad in England; she loves to travel and has visited 26 countries, many of them five times or more. She once spent six weeks in England, traveling from theatre to theatre, sometimes seeing as many as four plays a day.
