Drew Fortier

Director | Actor | Writer
Date of birth : 07/14/1987
City of birth : Chicago, Illinois, USA

Drew Fortier was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. His career began in June of 2011 when he met 80's hard rock band Bang Tango while working at the club they happened to be playing at, which led to Fortier being hired to shoot a studio documentary on the band while they were recording an album in Chicago. The film eventually became a feature length effort covering Bang Tango's whole story chronologically. The film took him 4 years to complete and when it was finally finished in 2015, it was discovered it would not be able to have a proper release due to song clearing issues regarding the master tapes of Bang Tango's music. Fortier decided to then release the film for free on YouTube in January of 2016. There was one public screening in Chicago with the band in attendance, days later Fortier would become a member of Bang Tango as their second guitarist next to Rowan Robertson of Dio fame. Fortier would also join up with Kik Tracee frontman Stephen Shareaux to form the alternative rock band Zen From Mars which also features members of Enuff Z'Nuff, Flipp, and Fear Factory. Their album "The Ultra Head Frequency" is to be released in the summer of 2018. Fortier also was recruited by ex-Faith No More vocalist Chuck Mosley as his guitarist in 2017 up until Mosley had tragically passed away. Prior to Mosley's passing, he and Fortier had decided to do a documentary on his life and career. After Mosley passed, his family gave Fortier their blessing to carry on, and he along with Mosley's longtime manager and percussionist, Douglas Esper, have begun production on Thanks. And Sorry: The Chuck Mosley Movie for a TBA 2018 release. In July of 2017, Fortier was cast as a lead in the horror film "Her Name Was Christa" which is directed by and starring genre veteran James L. Edwards.
