Kim is an award-winning lead actress. In 2021 she won the Best Lead Actress Indie Spirit Award (IIFF) and a Best Lead Actress Award Nomination at Soho International Film Festival for her starring role as Jean in JP Allen's feature film, Girl in Golden Gate Park. She believes stories can heal, connect and illuminate. Kim made her feature film debut starring as Jenny in Joy Dietrich's PBS film Tie A Yellow Ribbon and received acclaim for her performance. The film won three Best Film Awards and a Special Jury prize Award at CineVegas and was premiered at international film festivals world wide. "Stunning Performance" -CineVegas. Another film she starred in, Christian Gossett's Only Child also won two awards. Kim studied theater at Southern Oregon University and at the University of London. After college she moved to New York City to study with renowned acting teacher William Esper in his two year program. Kim is the founder of the theatre company, New City Company in Bayview Hunters Point, San Francisco. She speaks Cantonese Chinese.
