Jennifer Hsia

Born in Taiwan, Jennifer attended the Taipei American School and graduated from the University of California-Irvine. Jennifer's passion for filmmaking was born upon a difficult period in her life when she realized, after having been inspired by Wang Kar-Wei's ¡§Fallen Angels¡¨, that she desired to use images as a tool to express and communicate people's complicated and difficult emotions. As a young female filmmaker, she strives relentlessly towards this goal, aspiring to reach out to those with a unique voice she believes can truly help and make a difference in this sometimes bleak world. It was these goals that led her to co-found Rouge Productions with the intention of discovering and gathering talented individuals from not only the United States, but also from Asia, and to help and inspire them to dare upon the adventure of making bold and insightful films that fail to fall short of expressing humanity.
