Yaritza Pizarro was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, 1979. At the age of seven her parents Juan Pizarro and Aleida Gerena made the decision to come to New York City. Yaritza lived in Spanish Harlem, Harlem and now near the Yankee Stadium. Going back to Yaritza's childhood, we can say she was timid and spent a lot of time alone. Even though this was the case the desire to sing and be creative were constant and a memory dear to her heart. These desires from a young age began to be fruitful when Yaritza Pizarro began to study Theater while she was in High School. By the time Yaritza graduated from high school she performed for the first time and loved it. The experience led Yaritza into taking a few acting courses when she studied at the City College of New York. One day Yaritza opened a mail in which her transcript stated Theater as major even though she never filled any forms to indicate this. Her sister, Keila Pizarro, said it was a sign and that Yaritza should go to the Theater office and declare the major. Yaritza loved to perform and decided to declare Theater as her major. After Yaritza Pizarro's graduation from the City College of New York in 2004 she has been performing with Harlem Repertory Theater, La Mama, Pregones Theater, The Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, and has also toured. Yaritza Pizarro seeks to work more in Film and Television while writing for future projects.
