Todd has dual citisenship in the United States and the United Kingdom. Part of Todd's early childhood was spent in Garforth, a small towne within the City of Leeds metropolitan borough, in West Yorkshire, England. Amoung many things, Leeds is (now) famous for producing Corinne Bailey Rae and the Kaiser Chiefs. Leeds is also home to many famous landmarks; the Corn Exchange, Leeds Castle, University of Leeds, Tom Wilkinson and Mel B. Todd was a research writer on EastEnders (1985), which led to several feature treatment writing assignments with many up-and-coming British directors. He went on to polish independent and short film scripts. Along with writer, director, producer Peter Paul Basler, Todd wrote the short film Death by Boxer (2008) that made its premiere at the Valley Film Festival in Burbank, California. (Soon, unaccredited polishes on various feature boxing films came his way.) Todd is also a graduate of the University of Southern California's Guy A. Hanks/Marvin H. Miller (aka Cosby) Screenwriting Programme. As a young lad, Todd performed at the Oldham Theatre Workshoppe with fellow classmate Marsha Thomason, and is a founding member of the underground Five Blokes and Two Birds improvisational comedy-theatre troupe of London. Opportunity enabled Todd to visit Los Angeles, California; he relocated a few years later, and has a few U.S. telly and (short) film (acting) credits and a couple of U.K. telly unaccredited appearances on ITV's Where the Heart Is (1997) and BBC's Brazen Hussies (1996). Todd has been a Quarter-Finalist and a Semi-Finalist in Academy Award-winning Director Francis Ford Coppolas' world renown, and prestigious American Zoetrope Screenplay Contest. Todd is an avid scuba diver specialising in Wreck Penetration, and a former amateur kick-boxer: 8 wins, 1 loss, with 8 knockouts.
