Martin Z. Dudzik (Marcin Dudzik), was born in Lubartow, Poland on May 22, 1986. After growing up in Poland and Greece, Martin's passion for filmmaking began at the age of 12. In high school, he began taking film courses where he created several short films with his friends. These short films eventually grew into film festival award winning short films that would later catapult him into the world of film. Dudzik decided to be an independent filmmaker from the moment he fell in love with the art of creating false realities. Strange Days (2003); Joe's Package (2004); and Calendar Leaves (2005) have each had their share of awards and distinctions. The most recent film "Calendar Leaves" won Best Film and Best Cinematography at the Young Cuts Film Festival in Toronto. The most successful of his films is Joe's Package, winning 1st place Senior Narrative, Best Director, Best Actor (Jessie Lange), Best Cinematography, and Most Promising Filmmaker awards (2004 B.C. Student Film Festival.)
