Jaime Luchuck was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on Grey Cup day (for you Canadian football fans). The first of four children, she began performing, for the family's brand-new video camera, at the age of one month old. Always creative, she and her brother, Ryan, formed the band Fruits when they were 6 and 4 and released their first "album", Funny Fruits, to massive (parental) acclaim. Though Ang Lee and Brad Pitt weren't making movies in the Prairies just yet, Jaime did land a few locally shot commercials as a pre-teen. She also danced from the age of 4 and competed across Canada, winning a gold medal at the Western Canadian Championships. In her late teens, Jaime moved with her family to Calgary, Alberta, where she pursued graphic design and multimedia and worked, briefly, in advertising. Eventually deciding to leave the design field and pursue acting full time, she packed up her Volkswagon Golf and drove across the country to Toronto. Since arriving in Toronto, Jaime has acted in a number of small independent films, including Don't Die Just Yet and Cookie Crumb. She won the lead in the romantic comedy Eligible Roommate, which was filmed but has yet to see release. Her biggest film to date is Heartland Son, where she played sexy but manipulative Sadie Mulligan, the female lead. Jaime has written 5 feature-length screenplays and recently opened her own production company, Lunon Films. In 2005, Lunon Films shot a short film, Anonymous, which screened to rave reviews in Toronto. Currently, Jaime lives in downtown Toronto where she is focusing on her writing and acting careers.
