Toronto-born graduate of the University of Western Ontario, he moved to Los Angeles in 1998 upon optioning a sitcom to EMI ("Make Records"). He continued to write and develop projects with EMI, Universal, Alliance Atlantis and ClearChannel until, in 2000, Gallay co-founded artist management company PPI, successfully signing several artists to major label contracts with Reprise Records, Warner Bros., Dreamworks Records and Universal Canada. Moving back to Toronto in 2001, Gallay produced for the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Maple Leafs, producing several television series and live broadcasts. 2004 saw changes as Gallay sold his stake in PPI, resigned from sports television, and formed Gallay/Hartt Productions with Heather Hartt and Peter Sussman, where he currently produces, writes and directs comedy.
