Recently in New York City for Water By the Spoonful, a play directed by Tony Award Winner Gregory Mosher. Recent work, the role of "Tom Baril," in Mapplethorpe (2018) (2018). As lead actor of P.T.S.D (2015), Jason Lopez was awarded a Coin of Excellence from Commander Col. Lee Andrew Flemming after a screening of the film at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers in Europe, for his contribution to the cause. Jason also works with the Canine Companions to help veterans suffering PTSD. Jason Lopez began acting in New York City at where he worked on off Broadway shows whilst attending acting schools Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute. He studied with Susan Batson, but a highlight of Jason's acting studies was being directed by the legendary Dennis Hopper. Jason has starred in several award-winning TV shows, including How I Met Your Mother (2005) and Joss Whedon's Dollhouse. He starred in award-winning film The Union and more recently played the lead role in PTSD, an 'Oscar worthy' performance which won Jason a Best Actor award as well as winning PTSD Best Film at Chelsea Film Festival. Dedicated to his cousin who passed while still in service and his eldest brother, a veteran who served in the Army. Jason, the youngest of five siblings is Florida born, mother Cuban and father Puerto Rican.
