Chase Nixon is an American actor and musician who was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. He took an interest in acting at an early age by putting on house plays with his sister and some neighborhood friends. He loved to watch movies and even make his own, many of which were Lego stop-motion films shot on a 90s video camera. At age 11, Chase become interested in music and began to play the saxophone in the school band. He simultaneously began playing the drums on his own. Then came guitar, taught to him by his father, bass, piano, singing, and even banjo many years down the road. It was not until 2013 that Chase started to take acting more seriously. He met director Jacob Viness and reacquainted himself with high school friend and actor Justin McEver, who soon invited Chase to play drums in his band Steady Common. After Chase saw two short films that Viness and McEver made, he catapulted himself into the world of indie filmmaking, realizing that he did not have to be some big shot to be involved in this wonderful art. "I basically told Jacob I don't really have experience acting in films, but I have read Michael Caine's acting book and I really want to give it a go. And even if the acting doesn't work out, I want to help out with the films in any way I can." Viness took a chance and gave Chase a minor role in one of his first short films The Hit (2014). "It was my first role and to this day, I think I did bad in it (laughing). But I still had a great time and learned a lot." Since then, Chase has acted in just about every film Viness has directed. Chase has also been able to use his music and audio skills in the film world by composing, licensing music, mixing, and performing just about every post-production audio role there is.
