Mark Fontes

Mark Fontes' real life career role has followed him to the silver screen time and again. Most recently, Fontes played Chuck Marble, a news reporter in all three of the "Mary Horror" trilogy of movies. The third film in the franchise, Witches Blood (2014), sees Marble and a reporter colleague both get killed by a pair of female zombies. Fontes' character gets zombified in part two of the set - Sheriff Tom Vs. The Zombies (2013). The story's evil forces however are defeated late in the film, returning Marble (Fontes) and others to normal. Mary Horror (2011) was the series' pilot film, where Marble reported on the slaying of main character, Mary Horowitz. He acted in numerous plays throughout high school and grade school, playing characters from a school teacher to a soldier. When not acting, Fontes can be seen reporting for CGTN (China Global Television Network). His August 2017 move to Beijing followed a three year stint as the anchor for WMBC-TV News in the New York/New Jersey area. While in New Jersey, Fontes also managed You Tube channel Jersey Mark, covering high school and youth sports. Fontes was the sports anchor at WZBN-TV in Trenton, NJ from March, 2008 until the station's demise in June, 2012. His journey through the television world also took him through cable network AWE TV (formerly Wealth TV), where he was an anchor and show host from 2004-08. He began his on-air career at KTRV Fox 12 in Boise, Idaho, right after graduating with honors from St. John's University (NY) in May, 2002. In his spare time, Fontes enjoys bicycling, travel, taking care of animals in need, as well as Britpop and 80's pop music. His favorite interview of all time remains Debbie Gibson. He was born December 3, 1979.
