Dan Chinander

Director | Creation
Date of birth : 08/08/1958
City of birth : Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

From 1985 to 1995, Dan worked at National Car Rental as a Fleet Service Coordinator. During this time Dan began writing screenplays on the side, but had no idea how tough it would be to get his scripts in front of Hollywood producers, much less get a credible agent. In 1994 Dan's 3rd screenplay, Nessie, stirred up interest from three major production companies and landed him an agent at William Morris. But the deals fell through and Dan vowed to one day produce his own feature film. Meanwhile, National Car Rental promoted Dan to corporate video&film producer allowing him to produce and direct for National Car Rental and Alamo Rent-A-Car. In 2001, Dan left the corporate world and opened his own production company, FishTale Entertainment Inc. Throughout Dan's career, writing, producing and directing have always been his passions. After more than 15 years of professional excellence in that field, Dan has finished directing and producing his first feature film, Hiding Victoria. Hiding Victoria went on to win awards on the festival circuit and then on to distribution garnering a theatrical release. Hiding Victoria is available on DVD at most DVD retailers. Dan Chinander's company, FishTale Entertainment is now in development on "Blues Man", "Animal Air", and "Take Me to Philly". Dan plans to follow these films with a slate of four of his other screenplays, ranging from drama, action/adventure and family films.
