Kamal Imani

Kamal is an internationally known spoken word performance poet. He is also a veteran rapper, Hip Hop concert promoter and "at risk" youth mentor and Teacher in the urban areas of New Jersey.. Based on his knowledge of the streets, the suites and Hip Hop along with his witty sense of humor and handsome looks, he has been casted by several independent film producers to take cameo and lead roles in their films. He has acted in Jeff Carroll's "Gold Digger Killer" and most recently in the new webisode "Those Who Walk Among Us" , along with other short films. In 2007 with a $5,000 budget, Kamal directed and produced his first film "Up In The Attic" which was a coming of age story based in Hip Hop's Classic Era. As a recording artist and performer he has directed, performed and acted in many music videos which are still in circulation on the internet.
