Leif Fortlouis

Leif Geoffrey Fortlouis was born in Newport, RI in 1972. He attended High School and College in North Carolina, where he was involved in community theatre, set design, independent films and short form improve. In 1996 Leif moved to Queens, NY to pursue a career in art and illustration, while still working in various capacity on independent films and small stage productions, as well as his own video work. For over 5 years Leif developed Arts & Literacy programs for inner-city youth, as well as students at the college level, with a focus on multicultural crafts and animation. In 2006 he joined the American Museum of Natural History managing traveling exhibitions around the globe.He also composes and performs his own music, with a focus on guitar-driven rock, and performs at local venues in the NYC area.
