Jen Heck was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. She moved to Singapore in the mid-80s, where she attended Singapore American School and hung around with a pair of twins, a German kid whose dad had a Delorian, her sister Danielle, and a one-eyed cat. Jen received her BFA from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, and her MFA from Columbia University. She is the founding partner of Brooklyn-based animation company Charged Productions. Other partners include filmmakers Alex Cohn, Adam Pierce, Scott Rosann, and Jen's former NYU classmate (and current TV On The Radio frontman) Tunde Adebimpe. She remains a silent partner at Charged. Jen has had work at major film festivals including Sundance, The Hamptons, and Palm Springs, at museums including the Whitney (Biennial 2004) and MoMA, and on networks including MTV, Bravo, and VH1.
