Annabel Scholey is an English actress from West Yorkshire. Known for BBC ONE drama 'The Sixth Commandment', written by Sarah Phelps, in which she portrayed Anne-Marie Blake. The mini-series won a BAFTA TV Award in 2024 for 'Best One-Off Drama'. Annabel starred in the independent film 'Chuck Chuck Baby' alongside Louise Brealey, which was Janis Pugh's debut production for Film Cymru. The film was released in 2024 in both UK and US and was warmly received by critics and audiences alike. Scholey is also known for her recurring role of Nina in BBC ONE drama 'The Split', in which she stars alongside Nicola Walker, Stephen Mangan and Fiona Button. In 2021, she played Sarah Bailey in the critically acclaimed mini-series 'The Salisbury Poisonings', and in 2023 played the title role in 'Serial Killer's Wife' for Paramount Plus UK. Other work includes Sky series 'Britannia', written by Jez Butterworth, in which she played Amena for three seasons. Other notable work includes Being Human and Dr Who - both for the BBC and 'Medici - The Masters of Florence' starring as Contessina De Medici along side Dustin Hoffman and Richard Madden. In September 2024 Scholey leads the cast of Dead and Buried for BBC and Virgin, and will appear as Beattie Johnson in Jilly Cooper's 'Rivals' for Disney+.
