Spencer Ooi Aik Seong

Spencer Ooi, a film director, comic artist, storyboard artist, concept artist, animator, and writer. Spencer Ooi, has spent 2 decades in his carrier, began as an illustrator and comic artist, with Tatsun Publishing, 1993. He's known for Legacy Of Power, published in Hong Kong,1994. He slowly move into animation career in 1997, working as an storyboard artist and in between artist. One of the memorable project, is the Malaysian Unity Campaign, a project that contribute to the country by Tatsun Publishing, during the economic crisis of 1997. It's a 2D animation short for TV that shows the united of citizen could overcome any crisis. Today, the animation had since become the de facto video for national unity. 2002, Spencer Ooi, found Studio Climb. Studio Climb a world class Design Studio provides conceptual ideas and design for the entertainment and creative industries with a core focus on film, tv, gaming, digital assets and themed environments. The latest involvement is War Of The Worlds : Goliath, an animated feature. Studio Climb appointed as a Lead Production Design and Studio Climb has delivered more then 5000 pieces of art for the project. 2013, Studio Climb, open its first new branch in China, ShenZhen. As many Malaysian especially Chinese, Spencer, could read and write 3 languages (Mandarin, English and Malay), and speak 5 languages. This uniqueness has lead him to wide range of assessment into different culture and able to understand well from Asian, China to Western and others, and form many uniqueness in his work. Spencer could demonstrating the versatility of technique, genre, cultural influences from Cyberpunk to Sino Culture, from environments, vehicle/ prop to characters.
