Akin Gazi was born in Edmonton, London. He attended Queen Mary, University of London studying English and Drama graduating in 2003. In 2010 Gazi secured his first film role in "The Devil's Double" directed by Lee Tamahori, this was followed by appearances in "Black Gold" (Jean-Jacques Annaud) "Zero Dark Thirty" (Kathryn Bigelow) and "The Cut" (Fatih Akin). He has numerous TV credits including ''Silent Witness'' (BBC), ''Da Vinci's Demons'' (Starz), ''Knightfall'' (History) and ''Prison Break'' (FOX).
