Christina Orjalo is a Canadian television, movie, and theatre actress. She has a mix of Irish, French, and Filipino ancestry. She began working in the industry at the young age of 4, soon after landing her first movie, 16 Blocks (2006). She is the youngest of three girls, all of whom have been artistically inclined since young ages. Her oldest sister, Marissa, is an actress, singer, and musician, and her middle sister Victoria is a visual artist. Growing up, Christina's hobbies included piano, dance, violin, and soccer, but she found herself being consistently drawn to performing. Following in her older sister Marissa's footsteps, Christina found a love for musical theatre. She has performed many roles such as Little Cosette in Les Miserables (2009), Marta in The Sound of Music (2011), and Sandy in Grease (2017). She has been involved in at least a dozen shows, many of which were at Oshawa Little Theatre. Christina also began to explore voice acting and was cast as Ivy, a recurring character on the children's animated television show Stella and Sam. At the age of 14, Christina began programs at the Stratford Shakespeare School. She attended the King's Company twice, having the opportunity to perform as Titania and Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night's Dream (2014), as well Marina in Pericles (2015). In 2016, Christina was selected for the Theatre Performance Intensive (TPI), a three week intensive at the Stratford Shakespeare School: "...designed for the more experienced actor who is working towards a career in the performing arts." By chance during this session, Christina and three of her good friends won a Stratford scavenger hunt. The prize was going on stage and dancing at the end of As You Like It, being performed at the Festival Theatre. Christina confirmed that this was one of the greatest moments in her life, which solidified her decision to pursue being an actor. Throughout her years as an actor, Christina has booked commercials such as Bell, Nutella, Kelloggs, and more. She had the opportunity to work on TV shows and films such as Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (2007), The Time Traveler's Wife (2009), You Might as Well Live (2009), and Schitt's Creek (2015). Although humble and proud about her accomplishments, Christina's favourite credit when asked is that she was on episodes of The Big Comfy Couch (2006). Christina graduated from Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts in 2017 where she majored in Drama. There she was involved in performances such as Legally Blonde (2013) and Brave New World (2016). She left with an Ontario Scholar Award, The R.J. McCarthey Award, and with an award celebrating four years of academic honour roll. She is enrolled in her third year for Theatre and Drama Studies at the University of Toronto in Mississauga and Sheridan College, where her eldest sister recently graduated from.
