'Francisco Garcia (IX)', born in São Paulo in 1980, is graduated on Cinema in FAAP (2006). Began his career producing and directing videos and experimental films in 16mm and making assistance to established Brazilian directors. As director has winning national and international awards with his three short films in 35mm: Desequilibrium (2004), Nanoillusion (2006), and The Tail Of The Dinossaur (2008). In 2013, released in Brazilian, French and Japanese theaters the film _Cores (2012)_ (I), his first feature film as writer and director. The film had his world premiere at 60th San Sebastian Film Festival and was selected for more than 30 national and international festivals, in addition to winning major awards as Best Picture, Actress and Director in Festin Lisboa 2014, among others. Currently (2017), is finalizing the feature films A Pile Of Dishes In The Kitchen and Squall (an independent production filmed in two days). Is developing the feature films project Bitter Silence and Phaneron, written by Bráulio Mantovani (City of God and Elite Squad), the television series Black Canvas, among others.
