Jeanille Bonterre's passion for World culture, adventure, philanthropy and travel set her apart from thousands of international candidates and won the hearts of casting directors and executives at MTV Networks in search of a new, unique face and voice to represent their brand in the Caribbean. They brought her to MTV's TEMPO the first ever Pan- Caribbean network, as the host and producer of her own show Downtown Island, their concert series Live and Direct and was the spokesperson for their Caribbean HIV/AIDS awareness campaign Choices. With a thriving broadcasting career, Jeanille expanded her talents to the silver screen; making her debut film performance in the movie Hit For Six. The independent film premiered in the Caribbean with rave reviews in April 2007 as part of the Cricket World Cup celebrations and also premiered in the US at the Black American Film Festival and in other cricket countries around the globe including Australia, UK, South Africa, India and Pakistan. Her premiere performance in Hit For Six also won her the Best Actress Award at the prestigious Bridgetown Film Festival. Now turning heads in front and behind the camera on the international entertainment scene, Jeanille's destiny would evolve once again in 2008 when BET Networks executives offered her the position as the personality and spokesperson of their brand Island Lime on their sister network BET J (now CENTRIC TV) in the US and on BET Networks in Europe, which broadcasts to over 28 million viewers throughout the US, UK and the Caribbean. This extraordinary opportunity took her talent and drive to the next level as she's now hosting and creating Caribbean programming for the network with a documentary series When the Walls Talk, the groundbreaking music series The Top 20 Greatest Moments in Reggae, the spoken word series Word Sound Power the live acoustic show Soundcheck and the concert series Island Xclusives adding Executive Producer, Director and Writer to her credits. Always motivated by her passion for culture and people, this self-assured 'workahoilc' is always on the go and is now the host and an executive producer of the multi-media music platform Showcase One. As a freelance journalist and producer if Jeanille's not jet-setting around the US and Caribbean hosting her TV and Radio shows, flexing her acting skills, making guest appearances or supporting philanthropic events, she's hosting concerts from the Caribbean to the US to Africa.
