Christine Church

Born in Vernon, CT, Christine Church has had a love for acting since childhood. She majored in drama and theatre at Manchester Community College after switching from a major in music theory. Christine always had a passion for piano and wrote her own songs and loved to play mostly the works of Beethoven. During college, she acted in many plays and performances, including the maid in Amadeus, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Blanch in A Street Car Named Desire, among other classics. She was part of a traveling acting group called "Have Actors, Will Travel." At the age of 22, Christine attended La Femmina School of Modeling and worked for several years as a runway model for mall shops. In 1987 she had a small part in a CBS TV commercial for Connect Dating Service. She also played a lead role in the local performance of a student written play titled Crash Landing. During the 1990's, Christine spent most of her time honing her craft at writing, another lifelong passion, and in 1998 her first book ("Housecat") was published by Howell Book House. Three more award-winning books came after that, including a revised edition of the original "House Cat" and a Russian translation edition (2006). Christine won a contest in 2005 that brought her to New York where she studied under actor Ron Millkie (Friday the 13th (1980)) and landed her an audition for the Ben Affleck film Gone Baby Gone (2007). In 2008, she wowed audiences with her NYC Actor's Showcase performance of the troubled and abused Lola in Come Back Little Sheba. In 2009, she played townsperson Anne Lacrosse in the movie The Supermarket (2009), and in 2010 she portrayed a dog trainer in the Natasha Hanina comedy, The British Jew with the Loose Screw (2010). In 2017, she was cast as Nurse Claire in the short movie, CUT (2018), produced by Sophie Somoroff, which is making the rounds of film festivals. Christine is working on more books, including several novels, "Fate of the True Vampires" series and the "Anachronistic Dimensions" series.
