Ben Treston, is a British-born and Australian-raised director, currently signed to London production company ROK Motion. Despite having no formal schooling or training in film making, in 1999 whilst still working for IBM as a Product Specialist, Ben and group of close and trusted friends found and funded MediaStorm Productions - a place where they could work and shape their casual pursuit of film making into a serious reality. Over the course of 4 years, within the fold of MediaStorm, Ben completed three short films: Fifty/Fifty, Car Keys, and Version of Events. Both these films took to the festival circuit, with Version of Events acquiring notable interest. To his merit, Version of Events was awarded finalist for Best Short Film at the Black and White Festival (Australia) and the Mirokino Festival (Europe). His first comedy short, Car Keys, went onto be a finalist in the Melbourne Comedy Festival and was screened on Australia's Foxtel Network. In 2001 Ben moved to the United Kingdom and treaded the freelance boards, mixing bouts of (non-directing) filmmaking work with temporary employment. He finally came to the attention of TLMH in late 2003, when producer Eve Hawking was handed his reel whilst on the look out for fresh talent for a slate of micro budget music video commissions. After being completing a batch of music videos, Ben made the shift into becoming a full time professional director. He's since been a part of the regular directors' roster at TLMH, and now ROK Motion and is presently developing his commercials and virals portfolio. In 2008 he is working on 'Instiution' a Feature Script, with ROK Motion, as well as developing a short series 'GSOH' along with other short form projects, as well as helping ROK Motion on production of their first features 'Rapture' and 'This Thing Of Ours'
