George Reese is both an entrepreneur and film maker. Mr. Reese's career started in television while pursuing a BA in Philosophy at Bates College. He helped run the college radio station WRBC-FM and eventually helped create the college TV station. The many television production and post-production roles he played while at Bates included producer, director, and editor for a variety of live and pre-recorded television shows. He also served as camera operator for Byron Harris of WFAA-TV while on assignment in Moscow in 1991 and for The Seventh Annual Report of the Secretaries of State. Upon graduation, Mr. Reese went to Hollywood where he worked for The Production Group as a PA, camera operator, and editor on shows like The People's Court, ESPN's Up Close, and the USA Network's Up All Night. After the LA Riots, however, Mr. Reese left Hollywood and went back to Maine. The 1990's saw Mr. Reese transition from television into technology. As a technologist, Mr. Reese wrote a number of books and completed the MBA program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Professionally, he started several technology companies including Valtira (2003), enStratus (2009), and Seeka TV (2016). In 2013, he successfully sold his cloud computing company, enStratus, to Dell. His passion for television and film never faded. After leaving Dell in 2015, Mr. Reese went back to school again-this time in digital video at IPR in Minneapolis-and returned to television and film in various roles. In 2016, he produced and directed his first two short films, Reconquista and Polo. In addition to writing and filmmaking, Mr. Reese is VP of Programming at Seeka TV where he works with other filmmakers to bring their web series to the public.
