John William Law is a writer and journalist whose work has appeared in newspapers, magazines and books. He has worked on the staffs of daily, weekly and monthly publications. He is the author of numerous books and has appeared on television and film documentaries discussing film history and on national public radio. His 2010 book, Alfred Hitchcock: The Icon Years was named Best Non-Fiction title in the Readers Favorite Book Awards and in 2014 his book Who Nuked The Duke? was named Best Non-Fiction title in the San Francisco Book Festival. In 2016, his book Movie Star & the Mobster won the London, New York and Hollywood Book Festivals for Best General Non-Fiction. His 2012 book, The Longest Suicide in Hollywood was a finalist in the International Book Awards. He lives in San Francisco.
