Keyon Smith was the third of five children of Gwendolyn Smith. Smith is of African American heritage. He grew up in lower class area in North Philadelphia without knowing his biological father. After the tragic passing of his mother and grandmother just 6 months apart due to cancer, Smith and his siblings were raised by their aunt, Charlotte Foster. Keyon attended the William Penn High School located in the North Philly section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Smith is always surrounded by family and friends. Pursuing acting after graduating high school, he went on to perfect his craft by taking classes at the historical Freedom Theatre in North Philadelphia. After classes in acting, scene study, character study and improvisation, auditions were soon sought out. Since 1998, his current credits and uncredited roles include movies/shows such as the CBS TV shows Hack and Cold Case. Also, Marley & Me starring Owen Wilson & Jennifer Aniston, National Treasure starring Nicholas Cage, Creed, The Next Three Days, Annapolis, starring Tyrese and James Franco, Shadow: Dead Riot, starring Tony Todd (also known as Candyman), and Invincible starring Mark Wahlberg. Also, indie films, Still Bittersweet, Sure Looks Good by R.A.G. Productions, Brighton Park by SDJ Productions, The City Is Mine, written and directed by Patrick Pierre and a host of others.
