Shari Emami was born in Port Jefferson, New York. She comes from Italian, Irish-Catholic, English and Iranian (Persian) decent. Her father is Iranian (Emami-Naini) and mother is Italian/Irish, Capurso/Connolly. Her great grandfather and grandfather are part of the imam jomeh, a famous high clergy priest known in Iran for the city of Naine. Shari was an active in drama, dance, violin in high school. She had friends involved in the industry, but never knew if that was what she really wanted to do. She got a small part in the movie "Man on the Moon", and an indie film titled "Momento Mori." When she was 19 she was discovered by a manager from an agency in L.A. and she got signed. She was off being sent for commercial print work and for ads such as GAP, Rampage, Sears. She became well known on the internet as a model as well, and also did trade shows and spokesmodel gigs. In 2002 she was cast in a Sci Fci series, but it never got picked up. After a long haul with her agency, she decided to part ways and start up her first passion.. music. She graduated from college (The Art Institute), in Los Angeles and decided to pursue her music dreams. She came in for 2004 for one of her songs under the "suggested artists" category for her song "Release." for VH1 Save the Music. In 2005 she was accepted to American University and Hofstra University. She deferred her acceptance to go to MI in L.A. to study music. She also recorded music with James Lugo and studied privately with English instructor Jon Dunmore Sinclair. She has just finished recording her EP album "Love, Lies and Goodbyes" and still sings and acts.
