Monière Noor is the first Afghan-American filmmaker born in Kandahar that has won prestigious awards at festivals across the globe. His passion, love and interest for the movies and cinema began at the age of ten while growing up in Flatbush & Bensonhurst Brooklyn. Every penny from his allowance and earnings was spent on going to the cinema, buying movies and cameras. The success of his first feature film "Dissonance", numerous award-winning short films with eastern themes and plots set in the west, set him as a filmmaker with a unique vision and purpose; hence his company's name: CINEmatically uniQUE, Cineque Pictures. His globally acclaimed documentaries on the mind, body and spirit won him respect and admiration for the work he contributed to the films in each field. he traveled to remote regions all over the world, documenting scientists, healers, gurus, Sufis and complete strangers. In addition, he spent close to seven years during his leisure, editing five hundred hours of media. "Soul To Keep", a supernatural thriller, he developed with two writers, key produced and directed is playing at festivals. Well received by critiques. Monière completed his bachelor's degree in media studies, theater arts and psychology at The State University of New York at New Paltz, graduating with honors and a GPA of 3.87. He further pursued his master's degree in directing and film studies at CUNY Hunter and The New School.
