Narine Kochar

Debuting in The Path (2005) movie in 2003, Narine Kochar was captivated by the magic of film. Since then starring in several movies, working as a production manager, assistant director, casting director, producer, constantly extending her knowledge in film industry she gained extensive experience in film production. Starting 2008 Narine is mainly involved in producing. She co-founded RK films production company dedicated to producing and co-producing films of artistic value aiming to create unique, thoughtful and intelligent films. Company credits include a number of features, documentaries, film series, music and theatre productions. In addition to film production Narine is actively involved in various social activities related to arts, film, literature aiming to promote cultural and educational values: she is the Board Member of Kochar Cultural Foundation; Co-Founder and Board Member of Independent Filmmakers Community of Armenia; the Co-Founder of Shakespeare Club English-Speaking Association. In 2018 she started a new journey in her career as a Project Manager of Armenian Artists Project, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization founded in USA, which operates an online charity art gallery promoting, exhibiting and selling Original Armenian Art to international market thus impacting the economic growth of Armenia. Narine Kochar has graduated from Yerevan State University, with Bachelor's Degree in Romance and Germanic Philology in Armenia; John Robert Powers Acting School, practicing drama and film acting in CA, USA; and completed training at Globe Education, Shakespeare and His Stage in London, UK. Married to Ruben Kochar, renowned Armenian film director, with whom she had started her film career. They have a daughter born in 2013.
