Cassie Dart is an actor, writer, director and videographer born in Melbourne, Australia. Cassie studied creative writing at the University of Melbourne, where she graduated with an Arts Degree in 2005. The same year, she teamed up with cinematographer Paul Puccio to produce their first short film "The Last Outpost", which screened at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival in 2006. The duo went on to produce numerous short films and productions together, including a post-apocalyptic action film called "Sweet Tooth", nominated for Best Foreign Short Film at the Long Island International Film Expo in 2012. From 2007-2015 Cassie worked at the Nine Network on various television programs as a producer and live videographics operator. She left to pursue film and video work with Paul, opening production company DCF Studios in 2014. The studios are based in Thornbury (Melbourne) where the company offer studio hire and video services to local artists and businesses. DCF stands for Dingo Cross Films in honor of Cassie's beloved dog, a dingo-cross-german shepherd called "Mr Berkeley". Mr Berkeley the orange dog remains the company's official logo and mascot. Cassie holds a black belt in Yoshinkan Aikido and is a long time student of Sensei Joe Thambu, who is often credited with bringing aikido to Melbourne in 1980. At the dojo she met her husband, Paul van Stratum. In August 2015 they married in Scotland. Cassie made her fight performing debut in 2022, playing Nikki, a knife wielding villain in Prima Lux Film's action thriller "Black Site".
