Rayford Lee Sewell II was born in Houston, Texas, to a savvy businesswoman and a Texan oilman. He is an American actor known for The Deuce (2017), Hawaii Five-0 (2010), and Longmire (2012). In his early life Rayford taught himself to sing, play guitar, and harmonica which eventually led him to create his original music. He has performed in venues around Sunset Boulevard including the infamous Viper Room, and has made appearances at Austin's music festival SXSW. At age six he swam competitively in local swim meets and eventually swam Butterfly, for S.M.U. the Division I school in Dallas, Tx. He graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Directing Film and Theater. Sewell has performed in theater productions throughout his life. He has starred in plays such as 'Peter Pan' by Scottish novelist J. M. Barrie and 'Harvey' by the American playwright Mary Chase, to name a few.
