Neel Upadhye

Born in India and a graduate of USC, Neel is an award-winning storyteller with a feature film on Amazon Prime (Dating Daisy), a TV pilot with Disney (Shark Bites), and 5 original screenplays under his belt (Ramayana). Most recently, Neel wrote and directed the widely praised Star Wars Squadrons CG Short - "Hunted" in collaboration with Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic. He is a writer and creative director of narrative development for video games at Electronic Arts. His feature film "Dating Daisy," won "Best Feature" at the Naperville Film Festival and the "Audience Choice - Best Comedy" Award at the Sedona Intl. Film Festival. His first short film based on the video game Apex Legends, "Voidwalker," earned him a Webby nomination in April 2020, and his second, "The Old Ways," trended #1 on YouTube Worldwide upon release. Skilled in directing motion capture, animation, as well as live action, Neel endeavors to tell gripping narratives in a variety of genres and mediums.
