Andrew P. Aguilar is a DGA Assistant Director who was born and raised in Bernalillo, New Mexico. He graduated from Menaul School in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2004, and attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. While attending Temple, he would travel back to New Mexico to work on film productions during summer vacation, and would return to school applying his on set knowledge to his theoretical based education. In 2008, he graduated with his degree in Film and Media Arts, with a Minor in Western Religious Studies. He decided to continue his career development in Philadelphia, and the surrounding area, to pursue his independent Directing and Producing. He produced his first Feature Film, "Birth of Separation" in 2009, and has continued his independent endeavors ever since. While he still pursues is love of Independent filmmaking, the summer of 2010 proved to be a time of decision. He returned to New Mexico to continue his pursuit of joining the DGA. In winter of 2014/2015, Andrew finally reached his goal of joining the DGA before the age of 30. Film is Life. Got Reel?
