Carlos Enrique Almirante

Renowned actor of cinema, theater and television, Carlos Enrique Almirante was born April 2, 1983 in Havana, Cuba He has established and extensive career in both cinema and television, inside and outside of Cuba. His broad range of work includes soap operas, comedy and original content on a variety of streaming platforms. In the many television series, soap operas and comedies that Almirante has starred in, he has done it the capacity of both actor and presenter. He studied acting at the National School of Art (ENA) and at the Higher Institute of Art (ISA). In his film career, he has landed leading roles in films directed by the likes of Fernando Perez, Daniel Diaz Torres, Jorge Perugorria and Gerardo Chijona. Besides from being the protagonist of the highly popular Netflix series, "Four Seasons in Havana," winner of the Platinum Award for best cast, Almirante has also been nominated for the same award for his leading role in the film "Fatima". He has also been the recipient of the Caricato and Adolfo Llaurado award in Cuba. The wide span of his career and the diversity of the characters he has played has garnered him international work in countries such as Colombia, the United States and Spain. Almirante is part of the Teatro de la Luna group and has worked with groups El Publico and Huber de Blank in La Dama del Mar, Deseo Bajo los Olmos, Morir del tale, El Postero de Neruda and La Celestina.
