Completely comfortable discussing the Criterion Collection in the same breath as the Patrick Swayze classic "Road House", award-winning filmmaker Neal E. Fischer is a self-described film geek. He cut his teeth as a performer on stage before transitioning to writing and directing full time and producing projects in all mediums. He signed the worldwide distribution deal for his micro-budget horror film while writing/directing children's theatre in the South Loop of Chicago. From short films, to web series, feature films and television to commercials, Neal is consistently creating new work and touring the festival circuit. Most recently for #WhoKilledHeather his 36 episode branded web series, to "The Artist" a short film for which he won a Best Director award at the Chicago Comedy Film Festival. In between projects, you'll find him directing commercials and developing new projects. He likes to end bios with a rapid round of facts (former college mascot) in a short period of time (dual podcast host "Triviality" & "Movieality") so that you understand (once offered Tom Cruise dinner) where his unique influences (VHS classics) come from. He sums up his drive, and ambition, in a phrase that has been said to him countless times from collaborators and mentors alike... "He gets shit done."
