Melanie de Klerk

Melanie is an award winning journalist and content creator for both the big and small screen. With over 16 years of experience as a cross platform journalist for both television and online Melanie has traveled the world. She's covered stories for Global News, Global National news and Deutsche Welle, in Canada, the United States, The Netherlands, Germany, the UAE, Hong Kong, Myanmar, Colombia and Afghanistan. She is one of only a select few journalists to have been embedded with Canadian Forces in Afghanistan and covered the US presidential election night results at Mitt Romney's campaign headquarters during the 2012 US presidential election. Melanie has experience in the film world working with Rampart Films to produce several award winning features in both Canada and the US. She's been involved in the star-studded film starring Allan Rickman, CBGB, as well as acclaimed Canadian film Repeaters and Chinese/ American co-production Beijing New York. Combining her experience in both television news and feature film production with her love of journalism she teamed up with acclaimed news anchor and journalist, Sophie Lui and award winning content producer, Ron Coldham to create the innovative TV/ web series Get Lost.
