As a child Rod would dream of one day being up on the big screen. As a boy his mother would drop he and his brother's off at the local theater. It was his time for magical solitude. At twelve years of age, he was writing country music lyrics. By fifteen, he had achieved his black belt in kung-fu and was teaching from his own martial arts school. By nineteen he had decided to follow his dream, enrolling in an Acting and Modeling agency in Austin, Texas. Lacking confidence he quickly strayed, working various jobs instead until his move to New York at twenty-one. His first professional job finally came a couple of years later when he was cast as a dancer for a bank commercial. Crossing over into writing, he was first published in 1996 in the nonfiction genre of real estate. Later, he crossed over into fiction, becoming one of the youngest authors in history to ever publish three titles in one year within three separate genres under the name "Rod L. Griffin." To date, he spends his time acting, producing and writing. He has appeared in numerous independent films and commercials and continues to pursue his acting, producing and writing careers. When he finds time he trains at Venue Actors Studio in the famed Lee Strasberg Method Acting technique.
