Born and raised in South Jamaica Queens, NY D.Jus managed to stay focused on wanting more out of life. Growing up around such individuals as Mr.Cheeks of the Rap Group Lost Boyz gave him the drive to want to be in entertainment, and Having Debra Wilson from Mad TV show interest in him helped him gravitate to filmmaking. In 2008, he was ordered to deploy to Afghanistan. He decided to buy a MiniDV camera to document his time in the country. About three weeks into his mobilization he realized that he liked to write and direct short films. When he returned home he found YouTube and started uploading short comedy episodes of a Husband and Wife team named Cletus and Jean. This caught the eye of his now mentor Al Thompson who invited him to work in a small capacity on the critically acclaimed Webseries "Odessa".
