Jen Plante Johnson is an American writer, producer, and actress currently based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Formerly based in Los Angeles, Jen trained at Columbia University's MFA Acting program. She has appeared in dozens of stage productions in New York and Los Angeles and in several feature films, including Ambush Entertainment's Answers To Nothing and the cult favorite Dead and Breakfast. From 2007-2011, Jen played the title role in Dottie's Magic Pockets, the first children's show to represent LGBTQ and non-traditional families. The show grew a dedicated, nationwide grassroots following. Jen was a primary representative for the show at special events and festivals nationwide. Jen now writes and produces original content through collaborations with artists in the U.S. and Sweden. In 2019, Jen is producing an off-beat comedy series she wrote called Happy Kids, in development with Cold Iron Pictures. She is also producing the thriller feature Unto The Light by Rodney Holland.
