Born and raised in Jakarta, Ve Handojo was a graduate student in Graphic Design before he started writing for magazines in 2000. In 2004, he wrote the whole 136 screenplays of a very successful Indonesian teen TV serials, which later he adapted into a feature film. "Buruan Cium Gue! (Kiss Me Quick!)" became a national sensation, got banned after three weeks of national release, and then re-released under a different title, "Satu Kecupan (One Smooch)". Handojo's third screenplay, "Kuntilanak (The Chanting)", became a movie that set a new national box office record, getting over 1 million audience on its first 10 days of release. His long time collaborators are Wicky V. Olindo (executive producer), and Rizal Mantovani (director / executive producer).
