Born in Santa Cruz, Drew Mylrea began making short films at age 10. In high school, he received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to fund a video production class that is still taught today. He studied theater directing at UCLA, where he wrote and directed the short film 'Arnold and the Alps' which became a viral hit, even gracing the front page of reddit. After university, Mylrea pioneered online travel blogging with the webby-nominated 'Travel Talk', an AOL original series. With his unique blend of scale models, animation and live-action elements, Mylrea has directed commercial work for companies such as Stella Artois, Vox Media, Ford, and Intel. His science fiction short films - commissioned by the video-game Firefall - have been picked as 'Short of the Week' and garnered millions of views. His first narrative feature film, Spy Intervention is being released in February 2020.
