Jocelyn Marchese grew up in San Francisco and began film studies as a teenager at City College of San Francisco. Contacts she made within the university gave her the early opportunity to work on several independent films, primarily as a cinematographer and also as a sound mixer on the cult horror feature film "Deeply Disturbed" (1994). Jocelyn moved to New York in the mid '90's and enrolled at the Hunter College film department where she worked on numerous productions in varying roles while also producing and directing several of her own independent projects. She quickly became involved in the New York underground art scene and was a founding member of the performance art ensemble DreamScapeGoat. After graduating college, she curated and produced several micro cinema events in New York and New Orleans. Her own film, video and multi media installations have been presented at festivals and art house venues in San Francisco, New York and New Orleans. Early film work emphasized surrealist themes, animation and experimental techniques as she sought to develop a highly subjective cinematic style. Jocelyn studied acting at Atlantic Theater Company and continued to work as a DP on music videos and feature films. She resided in New Orleans temporarily and returned to New York a few years later. Marchese began to work in the app development space, considering it as an alternative to traditional distribution for art and cinema projects she was working on. She incorporated La Vida Loca Productions in 2019. The company oversees the production of Marchese's work and the development of new streaming technology for distribution in the app, AR and VR markets. Jocelyn is a student at Harvard Business School Online.
