Christina Karis is an African-American biracial film and television actress who hails from the small town of Clanton, Alabama. Deemed "a baby Dorothy Dandridge" by her college theater professor, Christina dreamed of one day following in the steps of America's first Black movie star, achieving artistic excellence with grace, class, elegance, and beauty. She most recently joined the NBC hit spinoff Law and Order: Organized Crime, co-starring as Dana Wheatly, a deceptively charming mob boss' daughter, opposite Dylan McDermott. She has had the pleasure of sharing the screen with Don Cheadle, Ewan McGregor (Miles Ahead), Helen Hunt, Paul Reiser (Mad About You), and boasts a plethora of television credits including This is Us, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Queen of the South, The Resident, and Queen Sugar. Christina has been tirelessly honing her craft for over a decade, obtaining both BFA and MFA degrees in Theatre Arts and Acting, respectively. In a world of microwave success, Christina is quietly and reservedly establishing herself as an actress to watch. Full of depth, with a wellspring of emotional access, Christina's gift of storytelling is paving the way for a renaissance of old Hollywood artistic charm. She counts Dorothy Dandridge, Elenora Duse, Viola Davis, Nicole Kidman, Denzel Washington, and Meryl Streep as her inspirations. As many entertainment insiders say, "it's only a matter of time" before this starlet becomes the next Hollywood "overnight success."
